In select cases, the lower portion of the submandibular gland may be reduced to address excess fullness in the neck and create a sharper, more sculpted jawline and neckline. The entire gland is not removed—only the portion that extends downward into the neck. This is performed through the same incision beneath the chin used during the facelift, with no additional incisions or drains required.
